Shall We Dance Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I am participating in a blog hop using the Cricut cartridge that is exclusive to Cricut Circle Members. It's a cartridge called Shall We Dance. This cartridge will remind you of the Cricut Lite cartridge called Twinkle Toes. It has some beautiful images for anyone who is interested in dance.

Please look around if you are just stopping by my blog. However, if you would like to join in on the fun and see what these amazing ladies have created, start at the beginning of the hop at greengirl's blog. She has done a wonderful job of putting this hop together. If you are following along, you should have arrived from Kristen's blog.

For my project I decided to make a set of luminaries. I used George & Basic Shapes to get a square. I used the tag 1 feature of the Shall We Dance cartridge to get the sides of the luminary. I used the Gypsy to design it. I sized everything at 3 inches on real dial size.

After I welded the tags to the base square shape, all I had to do is cut. I used black cardstock form Recollections and some red and green tissue paper.

It's very hard to see the battery operated tea lights in the photos.

Photobucket

It's a basic project that can go together very fast.

In case you get lost along the way, here are the participants of the hop...

My project for the hop is a Snowman Tissue Box Cover. I printed two sheets of pattern paper from the Imagine's Mr. Frosty cartridge. I love the patterns on this cartridge.

Unfortunately, I don't remember where I received the pattern for the tissue box cover. I used the Gypsy to cut out the shapes of the tissue box.

The box is cut out in two pieces and is easily put together.

On this side I used the snowman from the Snow Friends Seasonal Cartridge.
I lightly inked the edges of all of the images so the image would pop out.

This image is from the Winter Frolic Cartridge.

Smiley Faces for both the image and phrase

I used Winter Frolic for this image and the phrase.

This box is going on my desk at work.

The Blog Candy that I'm offering is 4 yards of Twine in assorted colors. This would be great to use on your Christmas cards and other projects. To win, please leave a comment and a way for me to contact you. I would love it if you would become a follower as well. I will use Random.org to pick a winner on Monday.

Christmas Blog Hop Day 2

Hi Everyone. Welcome back to my blog and welcome another day of the Christmas Blog Hop. If you are here for the Christmas Blog Hop then you are in the right place! If you are just visiting my blog and would like to join in on all of the fun, please be sure to visit Josy's Blog to start at the beginning of the hop. You should have arrived from Bobbi's Hobbies Blog and after my blog you will be going to Kreimers blog.

This is a two (2) day event. If you missed the wonderful projects posted yesterday, just scroll down to view them. We have a terrific group of ladies who have put together some amazing projects to get you in the spirit of Christmas.

For today's project I decided to make another card. This is a square card measured 5 x 5. I used papers from a stack from Walmart. Surprisingly it is a very sturdy cardstock. The base of the card measured 5 x 10 and was scored in the middle to get a 5 x 5 square. The cuts are from the Paper Lace cartridge. I used "Christmas" colors red and green. I think it has the feel of Christmas. Once again I was surprised how easy the cuts were. I added some Ruby Red Liquid Pearls on the corners of the card. It can literally be put together in a matter of minutes.

I have one prize as a giveaway for this 2 day blog hop. To be eligible, make a comment and leave a way for me to contact you and become a follower of this blog. You can leave a comment on both days to double your chances of winning. I will be giving away the Winter Frolic cartridge. I will let random.org choose a winner and I will announce him/her on Monday.

Imagination Monday Gift Challenge

Emma of My Creative time, and Sarah of Pink Cricut host a challenge every other week using the Imagine machine. The call it "Imagine-Nation Monday". The challenge this time was to create a gift for someone using your Imagine. It can be ANY thing you would give as a gift to someone for Christmas, birthday, baby shower, anniversary, etc....... I decided to make a gift box and inside I made some "Scented Cookie Melts" in a Gingerbread Cookies scent.

I used the imagine to cut the box from the Wild Card cartridge. I used patterns from the Mr. Frosty Imagine cartridge. It was so easy to do. All you have to do is pick your image, pick the pattern paper and chose the size and cut.

The "Scented Cookie Melts" are made from Soy wax and the are meant to be used in a candle warmer or in a tart burner. The yummy scent is released in the air and it smells just like Gingerbread Cookies.

Cricut Cardz Challenge # 53

Here is my entry in this week's challenge from the Cricut Cardz Challenge Blog (#53). For the challenge this week we could make a set (2 or more) of 3x3 Christmas gift cards, or a set of (2 or more) of Christmas gift tags using any cartridges and use any colors we wanted. I chose to make a set of gift cards.

Recipe:
Recollections paper
Pattern paper from Mr. Frosty Imagine cartridge
Die cuts from When It's Cold Outside

Snowmen

Gingerbread Men

Nativity Scene

If you have this cartridge, then you know that the cuts can be a little tricky to cut out so small. It is much easier to cut if you use a newer blade and mat.

Cricut Ornamental Iron Cards & Video

Here are a few cards from I made from the new Cricut cartridge, Ornamental Iron. I've been waiting to play with this one. I just love the intricate cuts that are on this cartridge. I decided to keep the cards very simple. I didn't use any embellishments on them.

Here's a video I made.

Well Thanksgiving is over, and now on to the shopping. I thought this would be a great way to spend more time with your family and play a game or two. I decided to make a Tic Tac Toe game of my favorite thing that I want for Christmas.

The Tic Tac Toe board is designed from the new cartridge Paper Lace. I found a cute cut that had the perfect amount of holes needed to play the game. The font is cut from Paper Lace as well.

So you might ask what is on my list. Well anything Cricut of course. I cut the boy and girl Bug Heads from the Car Decals cartridge. Do you think they will get the hint that I want something Cricut?

Even if I let them win, I hope I win in the end and receive some of the new goodies from Provo Craft.

The blog candy that I am giving away will be a 3 pack of my Home Fragrance Oils. I thought this would be a great way to put you in the Christmas mood. You will receive 3 different oils scented in Gingerbread Cookies, Fresh Brewed Coffee, and Eggnog . To be eligible to win the candy, please leave me a comment and I will let random.org pick a winner on Cyber Monday. I would love it if you would become a follower. Cricut Cardz Challenge # 52

Here is a card I created for the Cricut Cardz Challenge #52. The challenge was to create a Christmas themed card with words only, no images. We were able to use any cartridge and use any colors we wanted.

I decided to use the sentiments from the Christmas cartridge. This is an A2 size card. The paper is from DCWV's Holiday stack that came out last year. The sentiments was cut @ 1.2 inches. I added some Martha Stewart glitter to give it a little bling.

Provo Craft Ultimate Creative Series DVD Set

Did you get a chance to view the new infomercial by Provo Craft. I was able to see it this morning and it is called the Ultimate Creative Series. It is a set of ten (10) DVD's that feature the most popular things that can be done with the Cricut. The projects are absolutely amazing. They are all brand new, never seen before.

Each DVD is devoted to one subject. They are (in no particular order)
Home Decor
Fabric & Needle Art
Creative Card Making
Stenciling
Gift Giving
Vinyl Lettering
Glass Etching
Paper Crafting
Wood & Clay
Scrapbook Pages

The DVD set contains approximately 100 projects that you can do. The set also comes with a free DVD full of Tips & Tricks. Oh, did I mention that it also come with a free Cricut Personal Cutter. That's right for a limited time if you decide to purchase the set, you can get a free Cricut Baby Bug. The infomercial says you can get it home for a payment of $24.99 for Shipping & Handling (other payments will apply). There was only a phone number listed, no website was listed on the infomercial.

However, before you jump up to buy it, here is a break down of the cost. If you decide to purchase this offer you can break it up into four (4) payments. Here is how it will go:
1) $24.99 for S&H (DVD set)
2) $35.00 for S&H (Cricut machine)
3) $54.00 for (1st months payment)
4) $15.00 for (tax - % depending on your area)
5) $15.00 for (processing fee to use the monthly installment payments)

The total amount above will be what you would have to pay when you order.

6) $54.00 for (the next three months)

OR you can make 1 payment of approx. $294. You can decide to get just the DVD set if you already own any of the Cricut machines, but they are only going to deduct the $35. for the S&H. Your new total would $256 (cost may vary slightly depending on the tax charged in your area).

So you would receive the box set of 10 DVD's (all at once, not monthly), DVD with Tips & Tricks, Original Cricut Cutter, Ultimate Creative Series Sampler cartridge (all of the images used to make the projects are on the cartridge).

WOW!!!!!!! That is a lot of money. There are tons of new ideas but only you can decide if it is worth it. Hope this helps in your decision making.

Your Story Mini

I wanted everyone to see what I got yesterday. It's the Your Story Mini. It is so cute. Very small and portable. It's so light and small, you could carry it in your purse to your next crop. I also got 2 extra packs of glue strips.

Very small and compact.

I placed a booklet inside the so you can
get an idea of the actual size.

Here is the side view. You will place your booklet
inside the chamber in the back to let it cool.

All of the covers are made from cardstock that has a shimmer to it.

I haven't had the chance to play with it yet. I plan on making a small album today and I will try to post a video soon.

Christmas with a Twist Blog Hop

Hi Everyone. Welcome to the Christmas with a Twist Blog Hop. If you happened upon my blog, please make sure to go to to start from the at Jennifer's blog here. If you are following the blog hop you should have arrived here from Kristen's blog.

The purpose of our projects are to make an item for Christmas, that doesn't include the traditional items such as Santa, Reindeer, Trees, etc. This was very challenging, but I think I did a pretty good job. You will find that all of the ladies did a wonderful job to inspire you for the holidays.

Here is a list of wonderful designers that are participating in the blog hop today.

http://sweetsassydiva-gspot.blogspot.com

I decided to make a Mini Word Chipboard Album. It consists of five (5) pages of what every child wants for Christmas, TOYS.

Front view of album.

Another view. Let's play

I think just about every child has had a stacker toy.
Also a nice area for a photo

Here you will find spaces for photos.
You can easily slide them in from the top

More spots for photos and also some tags for
journaling. Remember those keys, just about
every child had these.

The final page show a large space for photos
with a cute Jack-in-the-box.
There is also a mini album inside the happy
holidays area. Lots of room for photos or journaling.

Thanks for stopping by. Now on to Lori's blog.

New Cards

Here are a couple of birthday cards that I made. The first one I used the cartridge Country Life for the banners. Super simple and super fast to make.

Here is a card that I made with the new Smiley cartridge. All of the images on this cartridge are really fun and cute.
