Festive Friday Blog Hop

Well, well, well... We are here for the final Festive Friday Blog Hop of this year. It has been truly a pleasure hopping along with everyone. I've gotten some wonderful ideas to use to make some more Christmas cards. I loved the idea of making them all year long and I will continue to do this next year.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Terri for coming up with this wonderful idea. Your plan worked and I have a nice stash of Christmas cards and I don't have to worry about rushing to create something. I can truly relax and enjoy the season.

If you want to start at the beginning of the hop, please go on over to Terri's site. You should have arrived here from Debra's blog. If you missed it please go back and make sure you visit her site.

My card today measures 4 x 6 inches. I want to be able to put a nice size photo on the inside of the card. I used papers from DCWV and stickers by Jolie.

Thanks for stopping by and now on to the next person in the hop, Maria.

Crafty Steampunk Blog Hop

Hi everyone... Welcome to my blog and welcome to Leslie Rahye's Crafty Steampunk Blog Hop. I am so excited to be able to join in on this hop. I was a little intimidated by doing this since this is so out of my norm, but I have to say that I had a lot of fun creating this mini album.

I bought the Steampunk Debutante paper pack by Graphic 45 a while ago and I had not used it. I'm so glad that I did. This 4 x 4 accordian mini album is made entirely from Graphic 45 paper. There is tons of space for pictures and lots of tags for photos or journaling.

Each one is a 12 x 12 layout and is ready to hold a Halloween photo.

Scrapfest 2011 - 3

Here are some more pics from Scrapfest. To say I had a good time is an understatement. I will definitely try to return for the 10th annual Scrapfest next year.

I am posing with the owner of Graphic 45, Diane Schultz (right) and her daughter Aimee (left).

Diane holding the Le Cirque Layout we were creating in class.

Time for the Tim Holtz class. This class was longer than the others and we had a ball.

Tim was gracious enough to pose for pics.

I'm working on the cover of the book.

Festive Friday Blog Hop - 18

Welcome back for another installment of the Festive Friday Blog Hop. If you haven't heard, it's been our quest to inspire you to create some Christmas cards before the holiday is upon us. Time is going by so fast.  If you have joined, please send me a link, I would love to see your creations.

To start at the beginning of the hop, please hop on over to Terri's site. You should have arrived here from Debra's site blog. If you missed it please go back and make sure you visit her site.

Today I am featuring a card that I made at Scrapfest at the Mall of America. I took a class with Petaloo and one of the cards we made was this darling Christmas Tree card. Super easy to put together. I especially loved the glitter embellishments. The glitter doesn't rub and get all over the place.

Thanks for stopping by and now on to the next person in the hop, Maria.

Scrapfest 2011 - 2

Friday was the first day of classes and make & takes. I decided not to do the make & takes. The lines for it were super long and some even had to wait 2 hours before they could get to the front to start their projects.

The classes were a lot of fun. The best way to describe it is "Speed Scrapping". The classes were only 45 minutes long and you had just enough time to get out your tools, open the project packages and do a couple of pages then it was time to pack up and head to the next class.

I will be posting my projects as I complete them over the next couple of weeks. If you look below, you can see some of the sample projects that were posted on the boards in the mall.

Scrapfest 2011 - 1

This was my first time attending Scrapfest at the Mall of America in Minneapolis and it won't be my last. I had such a great time that I definitely will be back again.I am part of the Cricut Circle and a few of the members decided to have a "meet-up". We got together at Bubba Gumps in the MOA.

As part of the meet up, we made calling cards. Here are a few of mine below. I used the Destinations Cricut Cartridge with the skyline cut of Chicago. The background colors of the sky are Distress Inks by Tim Holtz. I used Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Broken China. I also used Crystal Stickles to make the windows for the Sears Tower (ok... the Willis Tower)...

Pics of the Circle Sisters...

I was excited to take a picture with Teresa Collins. She is such a sweetheart. I also took her Haunted Hallows class which was great. Thanks Shawn from MN, it was a great surprise.
