Assorted Flower Strip Cards

I had some 2 inch strips of paper that I wanted to use and not throw away. So I used them as an accent color for some quick cards. I cute the colored strip into 1 3/4 in strips and cut a white strip into 1 1/2 inch strips. I randomly stamped the flower stamp from the October Paper Pumpkin kit. I used coordinating inks to stamp the sentiment (except the yellow card). These are so easy to make up several cards to have on hand.

The supplies I used are listed below in the Supply List. If you want to purchase any of the supplies, please click on the items below and it will take you to my online store.

Thanks so much and stop back soon for more projects.

Stampin Up!

I am so excited to announce that I am now a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Many of you may have already heard of Stampin' Up!. If you haven't, let me be the first to tell you how great their products are. I have used products from several companies in the past. I've loved most, some were not so great but I can truly say without a shadow of a doubt that I absolutely love the products that Stampin' Up! has to offer.

I was actually a little shocked. Like I said, I have used products from several different companies in the past and I didn't think that this line would be any different. Boy was I wrong. Everything that I have used thus far has exceeded my expectations. The quality of the paper, inks, stamps, adhesives (that's a funny story by itself), and accessories are outstanding.

So please follow along with me as I take you on a journey with various projects that will include cards, albums, home decor and much, much more. If you like what you see, please feel free to go to my eStore where you can purchase the items I have used.

Hunkydory's Smudge & Mitten Card

Here are a couple of cards that I wanted to share with you. They are from a card kit from Hunkydory Crafts and this line is called Smudge and Mittens.

The picture doesn't do it justice. Actually in the first picture, it looks as if the image is printed on the cardstock but there are several layers to the image. The kit comes with tons of foiled toppers, decoupaged images (Smudge is decoupaged) and printed backing cardstock. You can't really call it paper because it is so thick. It almost as thick as the cover of some paper packs.

I hope you can see some of the dimension in the second picture. These are fast and easy cards to make however choosing what to make can be overwhelming with all of the designs to choose from. Both cards measure 7 x 7.

Please stop back for more cards and crafts.

Spellbinders Sapphire & Tattered Lace High Heel Glam

Hi Everyone...
I just got the new Sapphire mini die cutting machine from Spellbinders. I purchased it from Joann's.  It is super cute and so easy to use.

This would be the perfect machine for a younger beginner crafter or anyone wanting a small machine. It's lightweight, probably weighs about a pound. The plates measure 2.5 x 6 inches and it comes with 4 plates; a base, cutting, embossing plate with an embossing folder.

Check out the video below. I show you how easy it is to use.

More Happy Mail from Create & Craft

Look what I found in my mailbox yesterday. It is a card that I won from Dawn Wheeler on Create & Craft USA.

Unbeknownst to me, Jinger had just mentioned my name as someone who had previously won a card. I had missed that portion of the show. I sent an email and they laughed because they had just mentioned me. At the end of the show they chose my name from the "cup of chance" and I won this card.

Check out the video below.

Glam Heels...

Purple is one of my favorite colors and I love how this card came out. I need to build up my card inventory so I will add the sentiment when I need to later on.

I used one sheet of purple Topsy Turvy. It's a double sided paper with one side being lighter that the other side. The bow is the small Chantilly bow from Tattered Lace. The shoe is the Glam Heel also by Tattered Lace. They were cut with a pastel glitter paper. All of the products came from Create & Craft USA.

Birthday Card for a Friend

Well there is no happy mail today but I have been back in the craft room. This is a birthday card that I created for a very good friend. Purple is her favorite color as well as butterflies.

I used materials from Create & Craft USA. They had a great deal on specialty card stock. The designs as well as butterflies were created from dies by Sue Wilson of Creative Expression. I had so much fun making this card and it was super easy to create.

Happy Mail from Create and Craft

Well the happy mail just keeps rolling in. In this video, I emailed in to say hi and my email was read live on Create & Craft. I was lucky enough to win another card.

This card is made by Dawn Wheeler. I love all of the fabulous cards she demonstrates on C&C. She is very talented and comes up with some very unique designs for cards.

Check out the video below and see the demo card I received in the mail.

Gorjuss Girls Tissue Box

I'm on a tissue box kick and it was a lot of fun creating this one. I used a decoupage card kit for the box. The backing paper is the card blank that I cut and the images are layered which gives it lots of dimension. I only used items that were in the card kit.

Happy Mail, Happy Mail

I attended the Crafting & Conversation with Stephanie Weightman Webinar that was sponsored by Create & Craft US on Friday.  The webinar was a fun-filled talk and behind the scenes information session.

Stephanie Weightman is the creator of Tattered Lace. Tattered Lace is a line of paper crafting products, more specifically wafer thin dies, embossing folders and even a magazine. The designs are fun, frilly and lacy. With each magazine you receive a free die set. The magazine is dedicated to helping you get the most of your dies. You can use your die as is or you can cut into your dies to create different shapes.

I got a great surprise in the mail. Those who attended the webinar received a free gift. It's a bow maker. In the kit I received the bow maker, white organza ribbon and complete instructions. Now anyone can make beautiful bows in minutes. Below is a picture of the free give and also three different bows that I created.

Check back for a few projects that I will make with the new bow maker.

Birthday Card on Create & Craft

Just for the fun of it, I decided to write in to Create & Craft USA. And you can imagine my excitement when Nigel May read my email on the air and showed a card that I created.

In case you are not familiar with it, Create & Craft USA is the U.S. version of the popular UK station. It is a new 24 hour crafting channel in the United States. The hosts are great and the crafting experts are fantastic. They have demos of the product and actually show the process from start to finish. You can also get lots of inspiration by viewing the samples that are made.

This card was made using dies from Tonic Studios and Sue Wilson of Creative Expressions.

Slim Mariposa Birthday Card

I absolutely adore the new die set that I purchased called Mariposa. There are three different packs of dies that can be used alone or combined with one another to produce endless styles and designs.

This is the first card that I created to see how the dies would cut. I used my Cuttlebug and this particular set cut beautifully. However, some of the dies in the set are quite large. In fact, they are so large that it would be better to use this with the Grand Calibur by Spellbinders or one of the Big Shots by Sizzix.

I am calling this my slim card. It measures 6 x 3 inches.

Christmas Cards

I know Christmas has just passed but I really want to build up my collection of Christmas cards. I don't want to wait until the last minute to start making them. So, I will be posting Christmas cards that I have made.

Here are two quick and easy cards you can make in less that 10 minutes. The first card was created using the Christmas Kitsch cartridge by Anna Griffin.

This next card was created using the Holiday Cards #19. The cards in that collection a perfect for the beginner or non-crafter. It will cut out the base (this cuts out the image on the front of the card) and the backing piece. Fold in half and you are done. I will be posting more of these in the weeks to come.

Hello Kitty Valentine's Day Card

Here are a couple of cards made with the Hello Kitty Cricut cartridge. This was made using the "Print then Cut" feature in Design Space using the Cricut Explore. I was able to add text to the heart and printed everything before cutting it out with the Explore.

This card is a shaped card. I cut the card base out separately and added the image on top.

This card used a base and background papers from Recollections. The Hello Kitty image was designed and cut and them added to the card base.

Camera Card

I just have to tell you about my newest obsession. I absolutely love the stamps and dies from Stephanie Barnard of Stamps of Life.

Here is my first card from the camera2stamp stamp and die set. This will be just the first of many to come so check back to see what other creations I have come up with using her products.
