Christmas with a Twist Blog Hop

The purpose of our projects are to make an item for Christmas, that doesn't include the traditional items such as Santa, Reindeer, Trees, etc. This was very challenging, but I think I did a pretty good job. You will find that all of the ladies did a wonderful job to inspire you for the holidays.

I decided to make a Mini Word Chipboard Album. It consists of five (5) pages of what every child wants for Christmas, TOYS.

I think just about every child has had a stacker toy.
Also a nice area for a photo

Here you will find spaces for photos.
You can easily slide them in from the top

More spots for photos and also some tags for
journaling. Remember those keys, just about
every child had these.

The final page show a large space for photos
with a cute Jack-in-the-box.
There is also a mini album inside the happy
holidays area. Lots of room for photos or journaling.

Gypsy Update Blog Hop (Smiley Cards)

Welcome to my blog! I was fortunate to be one of the Cricut Circle Members chosen to get the Gypsy Promo update early. For those of you who don't know, Provo Craft is letting everyone who owns and registers their Gypsy receive six cartridges absolutely free. In this update it includes one of their newest digital cartridges that is exclusive to the Gypsy, Smiley Cards. Everyone has until October 31, 2010 to register their Gypsy to be eligible to receive the update scheduled for Nov. 1.

A couple of other ladies and I who were able to receive the update decided to do a blog hop. It's just to let you see what kind of things you can do with it. The images are so adorable, and the layering is simple and easy to do.

The first card is a shaped card I made using the candy corn shape and welding the two together. I also used the card feature to make a quick envelope.



The second card is a circle card also cut out using the card feature. I then used one of the happy face emoticons. The balloons and phrases are also a part of the creative features.

Basic Cards

Here are a few cards that were made for my sister's birthday. I wanted to keep them very basic since I can a bit overboard when decorating.

I think that Every Day Paper Dolls cartridge is one of my favorites. It has so much on it and can be used in a variety of ways.

Word Books

I am in the process of making my first word album. I got the information from a wonderful person on the Cricut Message board. I will post pictures of it soon.
